Bought it in Sept. it failed and I was 3 days late to get the free re-test in 90 days..The truck sat in an impound yard for , I’m guessing, at least 2 years. So far, I’ve replaced all vac. lines, EGR valveplugs, wires, dist. cap, most of the smog check valves,(oh yeah, it’s carbed 2bbl motorcraft, w/out points-302 2wd V-8), new smog pump hose and by-pass valve and the metal tube going down from that hose to the back(intake, I think), new catalytic converter, air cleaner, fuel filters, fuel pump, alternator, battery,all radiator hoses, thermostat, gas cap, fuel cannister,manifold vac. tower, that little thing that clips on to the inside of the air-cleaner cover, ..timing is at 8 beforeTDC- I tweaked air/fuel and Idle for days till it runs sweet, but just to be safe should I turn idle up or down, air-fuel lean or rich, timing adv. or retarded, etc. Does that guaranteed to pass stuff work? Stuff a rag up there?I heard I should hot-rod it just before, then I heard it’s better to go cold
